Entirely possible. If you only select for one trait, all others ignored could
very quickly get worse (swarming, honey production, response to parasites,
etc.)
It could be worse if the genes controlling such are related, though it is my
understanding that they are not.
A good breeder should select for multiple criteria, perhaps ranking them by
importance, but ignoring none.
