Davis had a thoroughly well-deserved reputation early on as a Stravinsky
maven.  For my money, the very best recording (after all these years)
of Oedipus Rex was Davis conducting Sadler's Wells, an EMI LP never
transferred, as far as I know, to CD.  He also did a marvelous Canticum
Sacrum.
