One of the more interesting Vox LPs from a pianistic point of view is
the recording made by the renowned pedagogue Isadore Philipp (1863-1958)
[pupils include Novaes, Magaloff, Soulima Stravinsky, Beveridge Webster,
Darre, Francais, John Kirkpatrick, etc., etc.] containing "freely
transcribed" works of Italian harpsichord masters: Negri, Pasquini,
Rutini, and Leonardo Vinci. I've never seen a copy and it may be Philipp's
only solo recording.
