Don't know this one, but Shererazade is one of the works I'd rather not
listen to very often anymore - it's too often performed. And just when
I thought I can't stomach yet another performance, I was really enchanted
by the Ansermet recording (on a London twofer with R-K). I don't know
what critics say about it, but I recommend it heartily.
More to the point of your posting: I nominate the set of Schumann
symphonies on Vox cond. by Jerzy Semkow. By far the best set of Schumann
symphonies, yet probably pretty much unknown. In general, Semkow records
very little, which is a great pity because he's an amazing conductor.
