Several members have written that both Gramophone and Fanfare make
a policy of demanding a bribe in the form of advertising in order to
review a CD. This news confirms me in my policy of never paying a cent
for either magazine.  In fact, the news inclines me to stop even looking
at them at the library or the newsstand---and to write a note to both
magazines, explaining why I will no longer consult them.

Contrariwise, several posts testify to the integrity of ARG.  I think I
will subscribe.
