At risk of being repetitive, the person who was granted the patent made
NO CLAIM on the basic idea of a screened bottom board, and clearly
acknowledged the developments prior to the patent application.
All that was patented was a screened bottom board with SPECIFIC
FEATURES. Those specific features, as applied to a screened
bottom board are really all that was "patented".
It seems unfair to accuse someone of "seeking credit" when they did
a more than adequate job (as is required in any patent application)
of giving credit where credit is due, at least to prior patents.
