The counties of Albany and the Bronx share the same Dutch inspired flag, the
difference is, the Bronx has a wreath on its. I know early wares were made
in Huntington, NY and they disappeared in the late 18th century. The clay
that they were made with was sold out or instead, perhaps. Later salt glaze
potters, The Brown Brothers, in Huntington, used the "Albany Slip" in their
salt-glaze stoneware interiors if I recall correctly, which they produced
quite a bit of. I don't recall its origin either but attributed to "Albany".
Not used in Greenport, NY to my knowledge.
