On the Diabelli and Goldberg Variations, I have already said my opinion:
the best versions in the world are those of Isidro Barrio (KOCH). If it
was not this way I would not have produced them.
To this respect and entering in comparisons, it is superior to all
the other versions, so much for understanding of the composer's work, it
magnifies it inside the most absolute "urtext" to the score, like for the
quality of the sound, like for the lively of the work - the work lives with
such a force and adrenaline that a grown-up can give him a heart attack,
and it is not joke -. Authentic Beethoven and authenthic barroque Bach.
Keeping in mind that, if it is certain, it are the two more monumental
works of the pianistic literature, Bramhs is still far from it, it should
of keep him the desert respect.
Another work in which this pianist is unbeatable is in Franz Listz's Poetic
and Religious Harmony. Completely momentous, a great Liszt.
