Calumet Baking Powder:

The Calumet Baking Powder Co. was founded by William Wright in 1888 or 1889
in Chicago, and incorporated in Illinois in 1892. The classic red can with
a Native American wearing a headdress quickly became popular. In 1928 the
company was sold to Postum, a company soon renamed General Foods.

Price Baking Powder:

Dr. Vincent C. Price set up a baking powder factory in Chicago in the
early-1860s with his partner, Charles R. Steele. The company, Steele &
Price, manufactured Dr. Price's Cream Baking Powder, which "within a few
years" caught on nationwide, making the partners millionaires by the early
1880s. In 1884 Price bought out his partner, and consolidated his holdings
as the Price Baking Powder Company.

Complete embossing on can lids that I've found consists of "THE MOST
PERFECT \ MADE \ Dr PRICE'S CREAM \ BAKING POWDER \ 1 lb \ FULL WEIGHT"

I have found Dr. Price's cans in early 20th century mining camps in
interior Alaska, and many examples early this summer at a 1898 Klondike
gold rush base camp north of Valdez, AK.

information (or a source) that will provide information (dates of
manufacture, etc.) about the following products:

Price Baking Powder (embossed on a round tin lid)
Lea & Perrins Worcester sauce
THE BEST FOOD, INC. (embossed on the base of a square jar)

Thanks in advance.
