Naxos recently issued, as part of its American Classics Series, a disc
of piano music by the composer William Mason who lived from 1829 to 1908.
I am totally unfamiliar with Mason's music and would appreciate a little
insight as to his style and inspiration.

The soloist on the disc is Kenneth Boulton with JoAnne Barry joining him
for the one piece on the recording which is a duet. I've also not heard
of either pianist - any feedback?
