I recently purchased an anthropometry kit that contains calipers,
measuring sticks, etc.  Also in the kit is a small compact sized
container made of polished metal.  Once opened it has another lid that
most be forcibly pressed to open it revealing a compartment for holding
something.  My question is what is it? And what is its function?
