We have a piece of ceramic that is from a site in New Jersey that dates to
the first half of the 19th century. The paste is a very hard redware, and
it is a relatively thin piece. It is glazed on both sides with red
transfer printing. Additional sherds that look like the same paste have
brown and blue painting and a molded white slip design. Is anyone familiar
with such a decorated redware? I have pictures of the sherd if anyone is
interested.
Thanks very much for the help,
