Sellars hasn't changed Mozart at all -- not one note.  He hasn't altered
one word of da Ponte.  What he's done is provide a different *theatrical*
context for note and word which differs from not only the original
production but the very different "normal" performance tradition that
has grown since the original production (which, incidentally, probably
differs from the original run as well).
