I see that the BMG Music Club that I belong to has the Volodos Rachmaninoff
3rd as the featured selection. Keeping in mind that I can get several free
selections if I choose to buy it, is it really worth the $16+?
Not that I REALLY need another performance of this work since I have 30
at last count. Included on the CD are several solo works (which I also
probably have), and also Volodos' arrangement for solo piano of one of the
movements of the Piano/Cello Sonata. Can't remember which movement - I
had to do some searching to find out that this was on the CD. One of the
mailorder places listed 3 or 4 of the tracks and then said "...others".
Never thought of the sonata as only being an "other".
While i have your attention, who else bought the Baker CD with the 2 piano
arrangement of the 3rd? Baker himself does the overdubbing. opinions??
