You're thinking of Howard Brubeck's <Dialogues for Jazz Combo and
Orchestra>, Columbia CL 1466/CS 8257 (1961), with the Brubeck Quartet
performing with Bernie & the Phil. The Brubeck.info website says that
it's Howard Brubeck's arrangements of brother Dave's tunes. The LP,
"Brubeck Plays Bernstein Plays Brubeck," also contains the Quartet's
jazz interpretations of 5 selections from <West Side Story>.
