Dear All, A few nights ago I had my Ear to the radio and caught a
composition By the Basque composer Francisco Escudero, a semi-piano
concerto, aptly named "A Basque Concerto" (1946) (Played by Martin Imaz,
piano, Bavarian RSO u. Ataulfo Argenta, R:1951/RTWE musica 65097).
Rythmically intresting, yet quite easy on the ear, with a strong thematical
reworking of a musical folklore influence - not unlike any of the Bartok
Piano Concertos. Can any lister enlight me about this composer and what
other recordings there might be by his music!
