A worthwhile book if you are building a good music library. You may not
agree with everything he says, but he is a good writer who presents a lot
of material. He has a consistent point of view, and is one of the major
contributors of musical thought about works for the piano and classical
music in general. You will like the book more if you have several of
Rosen's recordings, which are mainly excellent.
