I have been asked to prepare a series of informal talks on opera next
autumn.  The subject should be something like "seasons in scenes from
operas", e.g.

Spring: Bartered Bride (opening chorus)
Summer: Meistersinger (monologue Hans Sachs)
Autumn: Eugen Onegin (Act I)
Winter: La Boheme (prelude Act III)

I wonder if any members of this list could come up with more suggestions,
as to what particular scenes from operas would fit such a topic.
