I'm not familiar with this work myself, but a friend once raved about
Yehudi Menuhin's recording.  However, remember that Menuhin could be
idiosyncratic, and that his tastes might not appeal to everyone.  Also,
I think I've heard that Joseph Szigeti's recording is very good.  Hope
this helps.
