Yes, the RPA is giving out scales but only of one design. Don Hardesty
has a wagon (or suitcase) full of them he pulls around at national meetings
and hands them out. If you have students or friends you can
send them back to get several (as I did at SHA in Long Beach)and so
have a few spares. So, perhaps in the future the RPA will expand and
have give-away sign boards, tape measures, stadial rods, shovels,
wheelbarrows, dowsing rods, etc. etc. [This is a hint!] So, the RPA is good
for something after all.

P.S. It is nice that the last President of SOPA was an historical
archaeologist (Bill Lees) and the first elected President of the
RPA, Don Hardesty, is also one of us. Good showing.
