I apologize for copping out like this, but yes, there is such a thing as
uranium glass, and no, I don't have a minute's peace to elaborate right now
(proposal due by week's end)! So sorry. But I can suggest quickly that you
might contact Olive Jones (Parks Canada). She brought numerous examples of
uranium glass to a workshop held at the Quebec SHA's and might have some
time to shed a little light on the subject for you. (Don't forget to ask
about the effects of UV light on uranium glass . . . it's definitely
somethiung to see!!) If the thread is still active next week and I get the
proposal finished, I'll add some references to the list.
