Re: blacksmith shops

It may be too early for your interest, but...a Memorial University of
Newfoundland student, Matt Carter, wrote his MA thesis on the archaeological
investigation of the 17th century Colony of Avalon blacksmith shop at
Ferryland Newfoundland.

His thesis (accepted in 1997) is available on CD (along with a number of
other 17th century-related MAs) through the Newfoundland Archaeological
Heritage Outreach Program (MUN Archaeology Unit).  Contact me if you need
more information.
