Titles from the gray literature at the VA
Dept. of Historic Resources pertaining to the
subject are:

An Advanced Phase II Significance Evaluation
of Ellett Schoolhouse (44Cf264). 1988, Smith
& McCartney
Archeology at the Free School House,
Gloucester County, Date not listed, Douglas
Sanford
History of the Peasley Free School,
Gloucester County, Virginia., n.d., Elizabeth
Foard

Otherwise, check the 15' USGS Quads to
determine spatial info and to look at the
ethnic identity of each. The ethnic info may
not be germane to an Ante-bellum school, but
in the 19th and 20th centuries, it becomes
more compelling.
