Greetings HIST-ARCHers

Looking for some help running down an importer's mark recovered in Pulaski
County, Kentucky from an historic farmstead. The whiteware/ironstone sherd
w/mark came out of a pit cellar that also contained a standard issue Union
beltplate from about 1851 or thereafter.

The name is fragmentary but "Gaines" "ters" "nal st" and "leans" are clear.
Any assistance anyone can provide will be so greatly appreciated. JPG can
be viewed at:

Many thanks
