This may not have much to do with bees, unless you or your dog has
gotten sprayed by a skunk while in a bee yard. Our dog got sprayed at
EAS this past August. Even with the traditional tomato juice bath, the
dog still smelled of skunk for almost two months.
The other day, she got sprayed again outside the honey house (slow
learner). This time, we tried a different home remedy.

                                        16 oz. hydrogen peroxide
                                        1/4 cup baking soda
                                        1 tsp. dish soap

The smell was instantly gone, and didn't come back even when dog's
coat got wet.
