Hi,
You need to let the bees build up into several brood chambers to do the
Killion method well. Then shake the bees into a single adding the sections
just before the flow. The other brood chambers are set behind and allowed
to rear a new queen. Then recombined for winter. If the brood chamber is
congested take some empty comb from the parent and swap with the daughter.
But there is more than one way to make sections. But I've found the Killion
methods to be the best even though they require more work.
