Ronald W. Deiss's 1981 book The Development and Application of a Chronology
for American Glass on page 95 states that the statement "Federal Law
Prohibits sale or Reuse of this Bottle" was the law from 1933 to 1964.

Northeast  Historical Archaeology  volume 29, 2000 has a collection of
dates for glass, ceramics and a variety of other artifacts.
