An e-conference!  What a facinating idea!  Adaptable to local, regional, or global scope, no conference fees, no jet lag or strip searches by airport security.  Seems like the only bad things would be the lack of schmoozing time in the bar and the possibility of the question and reply session turning into an open, unrestricted forum for cranks.

I'd be interested in a discussion of how to organize and run such a thing.  Suggestions, anyone?
