From Antiquarian Tobacciana Vol.22 No.4. (Winter 2001-2002)

PASSAGE OF A PREMIER PIPER. On October 28, 2001, Adrian Oswald passed away
at the age of 93. Those who recognize his name and contributions will
readily admit that he set the standard in clay tobacco pipe research, His
loss is a loss for all those who continue to plough and dredge this field
of archaeological research.
