I would guess that the booklet is underwritten by those labels you mention
(as in marketing / advertising).  It would be too optimistic to expect that
BORDERS actually spent their own money on research and printing just as a
service to humanity and the humanities.  Still, I'm a sucker for those
kinds of booklets.
