In Susana Walton's book she mentions that Arnold helped with the
orchestration as well.  (page 220).

Apparently Arnold and Walton were asked to collaborate on the film music
for Lawrence of Arabia.  They saw the rushes together and then drank rather
a lot at lunch and decided the film was a travelogue so declined the offer.
