Talking of Arnold and Walton I noticed that Malcolm Arnold finished his
Seventh Symphony while staying at Walton's home at Ischia in September
1973.

Also Arnold took Walton along to a night club in London where the band
played a bossa nova version of the first movement of Walton's violin
concerto.  Apparently Walton thought it worked rather well.
