I too am a big fan of Szell.  I think his Beethoven Symphonies are top
notch.  What can you tell me about his Mahler 9? These days my favorite
M9 is with Barbirolli/BPO, with Lopez-Cobos coming in 2nd.  How does Szell
compare with these?
