The German August Bunghert composed a tetralogy of 4 operas on that theme
of Odysseus, everything in the size of Niebelungens Ring, and with Wagners
style. Bunghert dreamed about building a second Bayreuth at the shore of
river Rhen, where his own works should be performed. It is reported that
not even his close friends beleived in his genious. Sympthomatically I
know of no recordings.

If anyone have more information on Bunghert or have advice on scores,
please contact me privately.
