Absolutely. Grumiaux, Milstein, Szeryng, Menuhin. For historical
performances: Enescu, Szigeti (both past their prime when they recorded
them but still there is more greatness here than in most other recordings)
For HIP: Rachel Podger, Lucy van Dael (cheap on Naxos), Sigiswald Kuijken.
There are many other good recordings.
