You might want to look at the Delaware and Raritan Canal studies that
Berger did as part of the Abbot Farm project.

Hey all,
My firm looking at the possibility of doing work on the remains of a
watchman's house associated with a trunk of the Delaware & Hudson Canal.
We would very much appreciate any bibliographic or other information that
fellow members could provide regarding previous Phase 2-3 archaeological
studies that have been done on domestic structures associated with canals
(i.e. lockkeepers houses, watchman's houses).
Many thanks for your help,
Doug Mooney
