In the following New York Times article:

   http://www.nytimes.com/2003/04/06/arts/music/06FAY.html

it is stated that a recording of Popov's First Symphony "by the Moscow
State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Gennadi Provatorov, is available
on the Olympia label".

Has anyone heard this recording? Does anyone have any further information
about Popov?
