Malcolm MacDonald (unlike, say, the Amazon.com reviewers of the Naxos
recording, etc.) says very good things about this work in his Brahms
biography, and I'd like to hear it sometime.  (He doesn't think much of
the Sinopoli recording, though...)

JPC lists another recording, on EMI with the Ernst-Senff Choir, Dresden
Philharmonic and Michel Plasson.  Alto Rhapsody, Nanie and the Song of
Destiny fill out the program.
