Regarding e-mail resumes:
A bit afield from archaeology, but my son at 17 got his first summer job by sending out 50 e-mail resumes and letters of application. He got two interviews and internship offers. The one he took paid $13.00/hr and now has turned into a fulltime job at $32k with full and generous benefits while he takes a gap year before starting college. Of course his field is computer science, not archaeology...Oh, where is justice in the world! His application letter included a memorable line about his willingness to work for Dr. Pepper.
