of possible interest to Histarchers:

The Mid-Atlantic Popular Culture Annual Conference area on Food Studies seeks papers that explore areas of food and culture. This includes the complex intersections of food with gender, race, class, sexuality, disability/ability and other variables, advertising, tourism, acquisition, and the multiple debates surrounding the cultural politics of food
within the global economy.

Papers focusing on the complicated relationships between food and culture that are represented in literature and film are especially welcome.
