Ron Chaplin was delighted to make the acquaintance of the lighter
side of the deep, solemn, tormented DSCH. DSCH also found the time and
inspiration to write a delightful set of relatively easy piano pieces-
intended for children, I think- which is variously translated into English
as "Doll Dances" or "Puppet Dances". Unfortunately, the music is not
readily available in the US in sheet music form, as it is caught up in
some type of copyright dispute between Russia and the US. [However, I
have a friend who I think is going to Russia next year who might be
willing to bring back a few copies, if anyone is intensely interested.]
Would anyone happen to know if there is a commercially available recording
of the "Puppet Dances"?
