Hey, you knew what you were getting! This is not exactly artistic
integrity, all right. I can appreciate your outrage on moral grounds but
not necessarily on aesthetic grounds. The question there is, did it sound
good or not? Glenn Gould would have approved of this, I think. Someone
recently quoted a German conductor--I forget who--whose single word moral
judgment was applicable here, though. (Would the sender of that re-send
this to me? Thanks.)
