I'm very much enjoying Gil Shaham's performance of the Barber and Korngold
violin concertos (and Korngold's Much Ado About Nothing suite), DG D105957.
Had never heard either of the concertos so have no idea how these stack up
against competitors.  On the basis of this disc, I think I will be
exploring both composers in more depth.
