I notice no commentary from this admirable list on the desirability or
otherwise of Malcolm Arnold's music, yet he is much recorded and has
the great distinction of still being alive after 10 symphonies.

BBC3 has had something of his every morning this week, and ClassicFM
actually got an interview with him, very late one night; but the normal
homages on an 80th birthday (remember Walton and Tippett) seem absent.
