Bert Bailey:
>Can anyone suggest African composers worth seeking out?
Marco Polo has three CDs of African music, mainly by composers who live in
South Africa. I've heard none of these, but I remember the reviews were
less than ecstatic.
Others may well react more favourably than I did to the string quartets
of Volans. Priaulx Rainier, who spent much of her life in the UK, is
represented on a Redcliffe CD of her chamber music.
