Deryk Barker writes of Peggy's twentieth century list of compositions:

I don't know how old Peggy is, or what her musical background is, but
I think we shouldn't jump to conclusions. If a young person's auditory
experience has been mostly jazz or world music they might find modern music
quite accessible and "user friendly." Then they could work their way
backwards into the structures and vocabulary of the nineteenth century.
