*Crime et Chatiment*, the French film starring Harry Baur (who was
murdered by the Gestapo in 1943) as Inspector Porphyr, appeared in 1935
w/ Honegger's music.
The American *Crime and Punishment*, w/ Edward Arnold as the inspector,
also appeared in 1935 but, according to www.imdb.com, with music by R.H.
Bassett and Louis Silvers.
