I am stunned! We pay plenty of money each month to a Medical Aid Society.
They will cover the costs of hiring crutches, wheel chairs, nebulisers etc
etc, but not the renting of an electric breast pump for a mother with a
cleft-affected infant! Nor even the purchase of a manual pump. They will
of course cover the costs of the antibiotics the child will need for ottitis
media etc etc. Motivation has got us nowhere!
Is there anyone with experience working with cleft-affected babies who would
be willing to email me privately? I would appreciate it.
