I am particulary interested in the way several living composers have used
quotations from Wagner in their works.

The Shostakovich 15th contains a now well known example of the Walkure
"fate" motiv, and I'm aware of a couple of others: James MacMillan's use
of Tristan in his "Vigil" symphony, Christopher Rouse's sendup of the Ring
in his "Alberich Redeemed," and some uses by Elliot Schwartz, but I was
wondering Listers out there know of any others I could track down and
listen to.

Obviously, Wagner has cast a long shadow, for good or ill!
