Alasdair. The Queen Mary is half a mile or so from downtown Long Beach,
which has a dozen hotels and motels surrounding a convention center. To
find out more, look at the golongbeach.org (or maybe it's .com) website,
which will give you a bunch of hotels at a wide range of prices. Unless
it's pouring rain, the walk to the ship will not be unpleasant. I'll be
staying at one of those too, but haven't decided which yet.
